Liamgo Chargeback Handling Policy
Effective Date: 15/05/2026
Last Updated: 15/05/2026
This Chargeback Handling Policy (“Policy”) explains how chargebacks and payment disputes are handled on the Liamgo platform.
This Policy applies to all users of the Liamgo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the Liamgo Terms of Service, Customer Terms and Conditions, Payment Processing Disclosure, and other applicable platform policies.
By making or receiving payments through the Platform, users acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.
1. Definition of Chargebacks
A chargeback occurs when a customer disputes a payment with their credit card issuer or financial institution and requests that the transaction be reversed.
Chargebacks may occur for reasons such as:
- unauthorized transactions
- billing errors
- disputes regarding services performed.
Chargebacks are processed by the customer’s financial institution and payment processor.
2. Contact Liamgo Before Initiating a Chargeback
Customers who believe they were charged incorrectly are encouraged to contact Liamgo support before initiating a chargeback with their financial institution.
Many payment disputes can be resolved quickly through Liamgo support.
Customers may contact:
support@liamgo.com
Submitting a support request may help prevent delays, additional fees, or account restrictions.
3. Chargeback Review Process
If a chargeback is initiated, Liamgo may review the transaction and related booking details.
During this process, Liamgo may:
- review payment records and booking information
- communicate with the Service Provider involved in the transaction
- provide evidence of the transaction to the payment processor or financial institution.
The final determination regarding a chargeback is made by the customer’s financial institution or payment processor.
4. Provider Impact
Because Liamgo operates as a marketplace connecting customers with independent Service Providers, chargebacks may affect provider payouts.
In certain circumstances, Liamgo may:
- temporarily withhold provider payouts
- adjust provider earnings related to disputed transactions
- recover funds where permitted by applicable agreements.
These actions may be taken in accordance with the Service Provider Agreement and other applicable policies.
5. Fraudulent or Abusive Chargebacks
Initiating fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may violate Liamgo platform policies.
Examples include:
- disputing legitimate charges after services were provided
- attempting to obtain services without payment
- repeatedly disputing valid transactions.
Liamgo reserves the right to take enforcement actions, which may include:
- suspension of user accounts
- termination of user access to the Platform
- recovery of disputed funds where permitted by law.
6. Chargeback Fees and Costs
Payment processors and financial institutions may impose fees when a chargeback is initiated.
Liamgo reserves the right to recover applicable costs associated with fraudulent or abusive chargebacks where permitted by law and platform agreements.
7. Payment Processor Involvement
Payments processed through the Platform are handled by authorized third-party payment processors.
Chargeback procedures are subject to the rules and policies of the payment processor and the customer’s financial institution.
More information about payment processing can be found in the Payment Processing Disclosure.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Liamgo shall not be liable for decisions made by financial institutions or payment processors regarding chargeback disputes.
Liamgo provides transaction records and supporting information during chargeback investigations but does not control the final determination.
9. Changes to This Policy
Liamgo may update this Policy periodically.
Updates will be posted with a revised Last Updated date.
Continued use of the Platform after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
